Decoding What Your Boss Actually Means

BF009April 20, 20263 min read

Indian offices have a second language. Nobody teaches it. Everyone learns it.

"Let's circle back on this" → I have no idea. You have no idea. Let's pretend this meeting happened.

"This is a great start" → Start again. From scratch. Tonight.

"I just have a few small comments" → I have rewritten the entire thing. In red. With questions.

"Can we connect quickly?" → Nothing about this will be quick.

"No pressure but..." → Maximum pressure. All of the pressure.

"As per my last email" → I said this already. You ignored it. I have proof.

"Keep up the good work!" → I don't remember your name.

Corporate communication: Where nothing means what it says and everything means something else. 💼
